Take one photograph, face-on, holding a bank
card flat against your cheek at eye level. Any card — they are all 85.60 mm
wide by international standard, so the card is the ruler.

A still placed once from a sharp frame is far more accurate
than live video solved thirty times a second — and the card turns the guess about
your face size into an actual measurement in millimetres, which is what lets a frame be
shown at its true manufactured width.
Hold any bank card flat against your cheek, level with your eyes, and take the
photo with it there. Drag and resize the gold rectangle until it sits exactly on the
card. Every card is 85.60 mm wide by standard, so once the rectangle matches it,
the screen has a real scale — and the number above is your own eye span in millimetres.
That measurement is what lets a frame be shown at its true manufactured width instead
of an average.
